Economic Growth as a Key to a Much More Resilient Country

              The capacity to respond to difficult conditions is called resiliency. Having a high degree of resilience means a person's greater ability, either because of their character (inheritance) or resources (learned), to resolve complex circumstances. Effective stress management is demonstrated by a resilient person. They also demonstrate high self-esteem and a good ability not to get upset, in turn. Resilience is a very positive trait since it helps a person to use negative experiences as reinforcement.

                In order to be a resilient country, we should look into our economy. Instead of using the country’s funds for unnecessary projects, such as the dolomite sand in Manila Bay, why don’t they just give it to the people who are in need? What is the white sand for? It’s just a waste of money. What I’m saying is that they should invest more on things that will make our country’s resilience improve.

                Economy is not the only factor towards a resilient country, preparedness is also a factor. The situation has the ability to cause uncertainty and confusion when any catastrophe occurs, whether it is a hurricane, flood, earthquake, tornado or fire. Successful emergency preparedness leads to reducing some of the chaos created by the unforeseen crisis.

                The country’s chain supply is also important to our resiliency. Management of the supply chain is considered a country's backbone as it handles numerous significant issues such as economic growth and environmental problems that have an impact on the DRMM’s strategy.

                Based on my research, the top resilient countries has good reactions in economy and natural disasters. I believe that we should focus on our economy, for us to be resilient. We should also focus on the citizens because we can’t be resilient if there is no teamwork in preparing for disasters.
