This
pandemic caused the schools to be shut down. Homes became classrooms, and
students became teachers for themselves. But the question is, "Is this
Quality Education?" (emphasis on the Quality Education).
Each
student doesn't share the same pace in learning. Instead of giving out two units
per week, why not give only one? Too much tasks, too much stress for us youth
to handle to the point that we prioritize academics more than our health. Two
units per week filled with several tasks, to be passed after only a week. It's
hard. We're not learning anymore, we're just trying to pass outputs on time.
Youth are our country's hope but will there still be hope?
Youths
are slowly disappearing, one by one. They are committing suicide because of
stress and frustrations caused by modules and online classes. Education is
killing us. Education is killing the country's hope.
There's
no quality education during the pandemic. Why are we doing this? For what? For
our future? How can surgeons perform a successful operation in the future when
there is no ACTUAL practice and demonstration?
Do not
pacify us because our opinions matter. It’s us who are learning, not you. We
are experiencing the struggles of this modality of learning FIRSTHAND. We’re
not opposing the idea of modular and online classes because we’re lazy,
instead, we are opposing these ideas because we’re struggling. We're not trying
to fight COVID, we're just adapting to this way of living.
